It's a good thing my fingers are warmed up, because having to type about all the great things that the cruise ship Grandeur of the Seas offers is going to take a while! Let?s see, first off, you?d probably like to know where this 70,000-ton resort on water goes. Well, if you?re looking for a trip to the Caribbean or Bermuda, this is seriously the ship for you and 2,445 of your friends (based on double occupancy). Royal Caribbean Cruise Line won't disappoint because it offers your family just what it has been looking for!

Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas Cruise Destinations

Bermuda and the Caribbean are the destinations to which this ship travels, leaving by way of San Juan, Puerto Rico; Baltimore, Maryland; New Orleans, Louisiana; or Port Canaveral, Florida. As with all Royal Caribbean cruises, comprehensive and exciting shore excursions are available through Royal Caribbean.

Bermuda - When you cruise to King's Warf, you'll want to plan ahead as much as possible; there's just so many things that can divide your attention. The Royal Naval Dockyard, built in 1815, was an imposing military fortress in its day. Now, it proves to be a great attraction for history lovers and adventurers alike. Or, get a multi-museum pass that gives you access to eight museums, like the Bermuda Aquarium and Fort St. Catherine. Of course, I believe a few people have had some fun at the beach!

The Caribbean - Ports of call on your Caribbean cruise vacation include Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; Cococay, Bahamas; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; Georgetown, Grand Cayman; Grand Bahama Island; Oranjestad, Aruba; Phillipsburg, St. Maarten; and Willemstad, Curacao. Each port of call is laden with treasures above and below the water line. Go diving, snorkeling, parasailing, or window shopping. Trek through a rainforest on an ATV or hike up a countryside trail.

Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas Activities

Relax in any of the six whirlpools onboard, perfect settings for breaking the spine of a paperback or tipping back a pina colada. And when I say full-service spa, I mean full-service spa! The ShipShape Day Spa and Fitness Center provides tissue massages, hot rock massages, facials, pedicures, manicures, body wraps?you name it. To really get your blood flowing (or to just work off the decadent lobster entr'e you had earlier), the Fitness Center side has the most modern work-out equipment around: universal machines, free weights, and cardiovascular machines that go way beyond simply a few treadmills (although, they?re available too!). Of course, don?t forget the indoor/outdoor pool in the Solarium with the sliding roof! Oh, and when your friends back home ask how your cruise was, tell them that the high point was rock-climbing on the ship?s deck?that?s right, rock climbing!

Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas Dining

On Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas, dining can be as formal or as casual as you desire. The elegant main dining room, Great Gatsby, named so for the novel by Fitzgerald, offers guests lobster tail, prime rib, and everything in between. Sit down for dinner or lunch and watch Royal Caribbean?s amiable and efficient staff excel at the Gold Anchor service for which they?re known. Don?t worry?those of you who are counting calories or carbs, the restaurants aboard Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas all offer healthy, yet delicious, meals. If you?d rather stay in your khakis and flip flops, the casual atmosphere of Windjammer?a guest favorite?is the perfect answer. And if you feel like simply enjoying the privacy of your stateroom, Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas has 24 hour room service.

Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas Entertainment

Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas offers poker, blackjack, roulette, and more in the Casino Royale, so c?mon down and join your friends. Or, get dressed in your best attire and visit the theater, where a Broadway-style musical will get you laughing and singing along. There?s also a great chance that you?ll run into live bands, singers, solo musicians, comedians, and magicians while on this cruise ship. There is also no shortage of bars, lounges, and clubs onboard Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas that can suit whatever style or mood you're in. Try the Schooner Bar or the Champagne Bar. Want a cocktail in one of the intimate lounges or cold beer in the sports pub? Maybe you feel like dancing into the wee hours of the night. Try the South Pacific Lounge, or for teenagers, Fantaseas Teen Disco.

Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas Accommodations

Beside each class of rooms there are some number; the first number represents the square footage of the room and the second, if any, the square footage of the balcony. The Royal Suite (1,119/148) is the ultimate in cabins, complete with a baby grand piano, a bar, and refrigerator. The Royal Family Suite (532/53) has two bedrooms and a pull-out bed in the living room?space enough for eight people! The Owner?s Suite (511/107) has a queen size bed and second largest size balcony on the ship. The Grand Suite (349/107) has a comfortable living room and a nice sitting room and large balcony. The most modest of the suites, the Junior suite (245/58) is still large by any standards. Its name says ?oceanview,? but don?t be fooled; the balcony on the Superior Oceanview Stateroom (190/36) is totally spacious. The Large Oceanview Stateroom (154), Large Interior (146), and Interior (140) cabins have no balcony, but that doesn?t mean that they don?t have plenty of space and comfort. In fact, each room comes complete with a television, telephone, private bath, shower, vanity and even a hair-dryer. Talk about taking a cruise in style...
