Celebrity Infinity

Imagine a ship with onboard features like Broadway-style shows, intimate cocktail lounges, and exquisite meals; a ship with a beautifully-decorated interior of burnished wood and marble; a ship in which the time cruising in between the ports of call makes you fall in love with ?getting there? as much as the destinations themselves. Infinity is that ship. At 91,000 tons, this ship carries 2,032 people?a smaller number of passengers than many other ships of the same or lesser size. Ever since her inaugural sailing on March 3, 2001, Celebrity Infinity has been taking people to the destinations of Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, South America, along the Pacific Coast, and cruising through the Panama Canal.

Celebrity Infinity Dining

Well, of course I need to start off with the most important thing! The S.S. United States Restaurant will remind you of the ocean lines of the past with its early 20th century design and features. Oh, and did I mention that the food and service are unbeatable? You can also get a bite to eat in the AquaSpa Caf?, a place that serves light and healthy cuisine. Finally, the 24-hour room service is only a telephone call away so you'll never go hungry on your cruising adventure.

Celebrity Infinity Accommodations

Choose a 170 square foot Inside Cabin or Oceanview cabin with a very ample window. The Deluxe Oceanview is the same size inside as the previous two, but it comes with a balcony for extra comfort. The Family Oceanview is almost as large inside as it is outside; at 271 sq feet of interior space and 242 of verandah space, you and your family will have plenty of room to enjoy your vacation. Try the 191 sq foot Premium Oceanview room, but don?t let the name deceive you; this stateroom actually has a 41 sq foot balcony. Or, if you opt for the Concierge Class, you?ll receive amenities like fresh fruit baskets, welcome champagne, and much more. Try the Sky Suite; at 251 sq fee inside and 57 sq feet outside, it has more than enough room for you to jump for joy when you step inside. Although the Celebrity Suite has no verandah, it does have (467) two sitting areas, two plasma TVs, whirlpool tub, butler service, along with its 467 square feet of interior room. It will feel like you?ve gotten there by way of the red carpet when you step inside the Royal Suite, a cabin that has a 538 sq ft interior and a 195 sq foot verandah. Finally, the Penthouse suite at 1432 inside and 1098 outside has everything you?d need to make your cruise experience unforgettable.

Celebrity Infinity Activities and Entertainment

The Celebrity Theater will put on a Broadway show that might fool you into thinking you?re in the heart of Manhattan. Don?t worry if you don?t win big in the Casino; having a ball is always a sure bet. The Conservatory is a beautiful oasis and garden in the ship that is perfect for reading, people watching, or daydreaming. The sound of a baby grand in Michael?s Club will be the perfect night cap to your day. Visit the Martini Bar for great drinks and conversation. Take in a comedy or maybe even a tear-jerker in the onboard cinema (the buttered popcorn is fresh and no extra charge, of course). Infinity?s enrichment programs offer lectures, classes, and activities involving all sorts of subjects: ancient Greece to modern politics. To send a message home, all you need to do is stop by Online@CelebrityCruises and send out an email. Words, the onboard library, has great a vast selection classics and contemporaries. Other diversions exist onboard as well, such as the golf simulator and the spa and fitness center. And for the kids 3-17, the Ship Mates Fun Factory on Celebrity Infinity will host age-specific programs designed to make their cruising experience as good as the adults'.

Celebrity Infinity Destinations

Alaska

Currently, there are 7-, 10-, and 12-night Alaskan itineraries that will transport you to this land of glaciers, blue whales, salmon, and polar bears. This is definitely a trip for which you?ll want to make sure you have film in your camera! Take the 12-night Ultimate Alaska Cruise takes you roundtrip from San Francisco and leads you to Vancouver, British Columbia, through the Inside Passage, to the Hubbard Glacier, and to towns and cities like Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan. The 10-night Ultimate Alaska Cruise is almost the same itinerary, except the ending port of call is not San Francisco, but Vancouver, BC. Finally, the 7-night cruise is roundtrip from Vancouver, BC; it leads you through the Inside Passage, to Ketchikan, the Hubbard Glacier, Sitka, and Juneau.

Hawaii

A different kind of beauty in the Pacific is Hawaii. Try the 11-night cruise from Honolulu to Ensenada, Mexico or the 14-night cruise that?s roundtrip from San Diego, CA. The ports of call of Nawiliwili (Kauai), Honolulu, Hilo, Kailua Kona, and Lahaina (Maui) are part of Infinity?s itinerary. Hilo offers great shopping and restaurants, as well as the Pana `ewa Rainforest Zoo, the only U.S. zoo located in a tropical rainforest. When you stop in Kailua Kona, try the coffee for which the island is famous. World class surfing can be found in Lahaina, Maui. Called the ?Garden Island of the Pacific,? Kauai?s beauty is practically unmatched. And a trip to Hawaii wouldn?t be complete without visiting Honolulu, Hawaii?s most modern metropolis.

Mexico

The land ?south of the border? is yet another option with Celebrity Infinity. Take a 6-night Baja Mexico cruise out of San Diego, and you?ll see Catalina Island, CA, Cabo San Lucas, and Ensenada, Mexico. Catalina Island will make you feel as if you?ve stepped onto a hidden paradise. One of the most popular shore excursions while in Catalina is its Glass Bottom Boat excursions. Cabo San Lucas is home to ?El Arco,? a strange rock formation located where the Pacific Ocean kisses the Sea of Cortez. While in Ensenada, take a winery tour, head out for a day of golfing, or saddle up for a horseback riding trip. On the 10- or 11-night Mexican Riviera Cruise, you?ll see all those ports just mentioned (with the exception of Ensenada), as well as Monterey, California; Mazatlan, Mexico; Manzanillo, Mexico; and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Walk through trendy shopping districts in Monterey; seek out ancient Mayan and 16th century Spanish history in Mazatlan; scuba dive deep beneath the water?s surface or climb through verdant trails high atop a mountain in Manzanillo. Whew! By the time you get to Puerto Vallarta, maybe you?ll just want to relax on the beach with a book!

South America and Panama Canal

The 14- and 15-night South America Cruises are very popular for so many reasons. Many of the ports of call are resplendent with the most beautiful scenery imaginable. Also, there are both ancient towns, as well as some of the most modern and electric cities on the planet. Two of the 14-night cruises hit both the eastern and western shores of South America, topping in places such as Puerto Montt, Chile; Punta Arenas, Chile; Ushuaia, Argentina; and Puerto Madryn, Argentina. Basically, you?ll travel south from the western side of South America, around the Horn, and up the eastern side. There?s also another 14-night option that stays on the western side of South America and travels roundtrip from the exciting city of Buenos Aires. Or, you can opt for a 15-night trip that combines the Caribbean with the northern coastal ports of South America. Finally, take a 14-night Panama Canal cruise that heads from Ensenada, Mexico or San Diego, CA eastward down the coast and through the Panama Canal, before finally ending up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
