Celebrity Constellation

The newest ship in the Constellation class of Celebrity Cruise Line ships, the Constellation is a 91,000-ton baby?at least as far as cruise ships go.  With 11 decks of onboard activities, entertainment, cabins, and restaurants, passengers are free this ship has been putting smiles on the faces of passengers since her maiden voyage on May 12, 2002.

Celebrity Constellation Accommodations

Although this ship is very large, it only carries 2,032 passengers at a time.  Translation?  More space.  Choose an Inside cabin at 170 sq feet or an Oceanview of the same size; the latter has a nice window through which you can see the world passing by.  The Deluxe Oceanview is the same size inside as the previous two, but it also has a nice balcony.  The Family Oceanview is almost as large inside as it is outside; at 271 sq feet of interior space and 242 of verandah space, you and your family will have plenty of room to enjoy your vacation.  If you opt for the 191 sq foot Concierge Class of Oceanview rooms with a 41 sq foot balcony, you?ll receive amenities like fresh fruit baskets, welcome champagne, and much more.  For unparalleled service and space and comfort that can?t be beat, the suites are your answer.  Try the Sky Suite at 251 sq fee inside and 57 sq feet outside.  Although the Celebrity Suite has no verandah, it does have (467) two sitting areas, two plasma TVs, whirlpool tub, butler service, along with its 467 square feet of interior room.  The Royal Suite is a fitting name, and you?ll understand why when you set foot inside the 538 sq ft interior or set your feet up on the 195 sq foot verandah.  Finally, for the ultimate in opulence and comfort, the Penthouse suite at 1432 inside and 1098 outside has everything you?d need to make your cruise experience unforgettable.

Celebrity Constellation Entertainment

Celebrity Constellation is a haven of entertainment.  The Celebrity Theater will put on a show that might fool you into thinking you?ve stepped onto Broadway.  An evening in the casino could just about pay for your trip!  But don?t worry if you don?t win big; simply having fun is always a sure bet.  Toast friends and family in the Conservatory or sing along with one of your favorites in the piano bar, Michael?s Club.  Visit the Martini Bar for great drinks and conversation.  Take in a comedy or maybe even a tear-jerker in the onboard cinema (the buttered popcorn is fresh and no extra charge, of course).

Celebrity Constellation Activities

The activities onboard the vessel perfectly compliment the activities in which you can partake when you travel off the ship.  Off the ship, you can see picturesque landscapes; on the ship, you can browse the original artwork from artists like Picasso and Warhol.  Off the ship, you can take a tour of a vineyard; on the ship you can join a wine tasting class.  In fact, Constellation?s enrichment programs offer lectures, classes, and activities involving all sorts of subjects: ancient Greece to modern politics.  To send a message home, all you need to do is stop by Online@CelebrityCruises and send out an email.  Words and Notes, the music and literary library, has classic novels, contemporary fiction pieces, and many genres of music.  Other diversions exist onboard as well, such as the golf simulator and the spa and fitness center.  And for the passengers 3-17, the Ship Mates Fun Factory on Celebrity Constellation will host age-specific programs designed to start smiles.

Celebrity Constellation Dining

The chefs and wait staff onboard Constellation want to do one thing: provide their guests with a dining experience that doesn?t just meet expectations, but surpass them.  Master Chef Michel Roux is the culinary savant behind the menus and dishes onboard.  Spend an evening in the Ocean Liners Restaurant and you?ll receive an experience that is as much about excellent service as it is excellent cuisine.  Visit the Ocean Caf? and the Ocean Grill for a casual venue.  And, throughout this cruise ship, you can sample any number of buffets that dot the decks.  However, the most casual of venues?your stateroom?is a wonderful place to try out the 24 hour room service.

Celebrity Constellation Destinations

On the 12-night or 13-night Canada/New England Cruise, you could find yourself at any number of ports of call in the northeast of America.  At Martha?s Vineyard, you can visit some of the many churches, like the Mayhew chapel, which dates back to the 1600s. There?s a plethora of entertainment and activities awaiting you in Halifax, Nova Scotia, including museums and galleries, beautiful gardens, and restaurants.  Walk along Halifax?s waterfront for some great photos.  And while it would be impossible to name everything you could do at the ports of call on one of the Canada New England cruises, you could also find yourself in Bar Harbor, Maine; Quebec City, Quebec; and Portland, Maine to name just a few more.

For a completely different type of vacation, take the Constellation to the Caribbean, a series of islands and tropical havens that take your breath away with their enchantments.  Take a 12-night Caribbean cruise, a 7-night Southern Caribbean cruise, or a 9-night cruise from Cape Liberty, NJ to San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Visit ports of call such as Bridgetown, Barbados; St. George?s, Grenada; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; and more.  African, Latin, French, Dutch, and Carib cultures make the Caribbean a heady and alluring place to be.

Celebrity Constellation also steers towards many destinations in Europe.  Visit the Old World in style and luxury.  One such cruise, and a unique one at that, is the 14-night trip to the British Isles.  From Dover, England, you?ll travel to France, Ireland, Scotland, Norway, and Denmark, finally returning to Dover.  Or, the Scandinavia/Russia cruise, which also leaves from and returns to Dover, England, is another option.  Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Germany, and Denmark are on this 14-night cruise.  And finally, guests of Celebrity Constellation can make a westward or eastward transatlantic voyage.  The Eastbound cruise is 14 nights long and leaves from San Juan, Puerto Rico; the Westbound voyage is 12 nights and leaves from Dover, England.
